Plain-English help for choosing an insulation material, grade and thickness — and answers to the questions buyers ask us most.
All three are closed- or semi-closed-cell plastic insulants. In broad terms:
Cosmopack manufactures EPS and rigid PU foam; we'll tell you honestly which suits your job.
Density follows the load and the application — light grades for packaging and void fill, higher densities for load-bearing and cold-store use. Thickness follows the temperature difference you need to hold and your climate: colder targets and hotter ambients need more. Rather than a one-size table, we recommend a grade and thickness against your actual room or duty, and provide the material datasheet so your consultant can confirm the U-value.
Thermal conductivity — the rate at which a material conducts heat (W/m·K). Lower is better. It's the number your designer uses, with thickness, to work out the insulation's R-value or the wall's U-value. We share the λ figure for the specific grade you're buying on its datasheet.
What is your minimum order? It depends on the product and grade — message us with your requirement and we'll confirm.
What is the lead time? Standard grades are usually available quickly; custom-cut and large volumes are scheduled to order. We confirm a date with every quote.
Do you deliver? Yes — direct from our plant across five states, up to a 1,200 km radius.
Can you cut custom sizes? Yes — see custom cutting. Send a drawing or sample.
Which grades do you make? EPS in normal (7–8 kg/m³), high-density (10–40 kg/m³) and fire-retardant grades; rigid PU foam slabs, sections and saddles (120–140 kg/m³).
